Terms & Conditions

In short: use Namų Receptai for your own recipes, keep your content lawful, and understand that AI features (images, transcriptions, recipe recognition and translation) are helpers — not guaranteed to be perfect. You own your recipes; we just run the app.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and MB „Tik inovacijos“, trading as TIKi (“we”, “us”), the operator of the Namų Receptai app (“the app”, “the service”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The service

Namų Receptai (iOS and Android) lets you save, organise and manage home recipes. You can dictate a recipe by voice, scan it from a cookbook page or a handwritten note, import it from a link or pasted text, and translate a recipe written in another language into Lithuanian. The app can generate an illustrative dish photo or beautify your own photo.

You can group recipes into multiple recipe books and categories, mark favourites, scale portions, build a shopping list sorted by store aisle, and share recipe books with members you invite (who can edit the recipes) or through a viewer link (view only).

The core of the app — storing recipes, sharing them with your family and syncing across devices — is free. AI features are subject to usage limits (section 7). Features may be added, changed or removed over time.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 14).
Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, images, text and other content you add (“your content”). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and display your content solely to operate and provide the app to you — including passing content to the sub-processors described in our Privacy Policy to make the app’s features work (such as transcription, image generation or shopping-list aisle sorting), and displaying your content to people you share a recipe book with (members and people who have the viewer link).

You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to use and share it. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that may remain temporarily in backups.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app for anything unlawful, or to infringe others’ rights.
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, or violates someone’s intellectual property or privacy.
Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems.
Misuse AI features to generate prohibited, misleading or infringing material, or try to get around the AI usage limits.
Resell or commercially exploit the app without our permission.

6. AI features & AI-generated content

The app offers AI features: voice capture, scanning, importing from a link or text, translation into Lithuanian, generating a dish photo and beautifying your own photo, as well as sorting shopping-list items by aisle. These use third-party AI services and are provided on a best-effort basis:

AI-generated and beautified images are illustrative and may not accurately depict the actual dish, ingredients or results.
Voice transcriptions and recognised, imported or translated recipes may contain errors — please review them before relying on them.
Shopping-list items may occasionally be placed in the wrong aisle.
You are responsible for how you use AI-generated output.

Recipes are provided by users, not by us. We do not verify recipes and are not responsible for the outcome, safety, or dietary/allergen suitability of any recipe. Always use your own judgement when cooking.

7. AI usage limits

AI features cost us money, so each account is subject to usage limits — for example a starting allowance, a monthly refresh and a daily cap. We may change these limits. Once you reach a limit you won’t be able to use AI features for a while, but your recipes and the rest of the app remain available. Shopping-list aisle sorting does not count towards these limits. 8. Gift box (voluntary in-app purchases)

In the app (the “Dovanų dėžutė” gift box on the “Kodėl nemokama?” page) you can, if you wish, support Namų Receptai with a one-time purchase.

These are optional one-time purchases. They unlock no features, content or other benefits — the app works exactly the same with or without them.
The store shows the price in your currency, including taxes, before you buy.
Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms; we never receive your payment details. We record the purchase details (such as the gift, date and price) with your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies — please make your request to them.
Although we call it a “gift” or “support”, this is a voluntary payment to MB „Tik inovacijos“ for the app — not a charitable donation or “support” within the meaning of the Lithuanian Law on Charity and Sponsorship. MB „Tik inovacijos“ is not a registered support recipient, so the payment is not tax-deductible.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party providers (for example for hosting, authentication, AI transcription, recipe processing and image generation). Your use of the app is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable. Downloading the app and making in-app purchases are also subject to the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google) terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

10. Availability & changes

We work to keep the app available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features (or the whole service) at any time. Where reasonable, we’ll give notice of significant changes.

11. Our intellectual property

The app itself — its software, design, branding, name and logo — belongs to MB „Tik inovacijos“ and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don’t grant you any rights in our brand or software beyond using the app as intended.

12. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that content (including recipes and AI-generated output) will be accurate or reliable.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MB „Tik inovacijos“ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify MB „Tik inovacijos“ against claims arising from your content or your misuse of the app in breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the app unlawfully. On termination, the licences you granted end, subject to residual backups as described above.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Lithuania, unless local law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

If a dispute arises, please write to us first at info@tiki.lt. If you are a consumer, you can also have the dispute resolved out of court by the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (www.vvtat.lt).

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
